Fast Asynchronous Systems in Dense Time

چکیده

A testing scenario in the sense of De Nicola and Hennessy is developed to measure the worst-case eeciency of asynchronous systems using dense time. For all three variants considered, it is shown that one can equivalently use discrete time; in the discrete versions, one variant coincides with an approach based on discrete time in Vog95b], and thus we can clarify the assumptions behind this approach. The resulting testing-preorders are characterized with some kind of refusal traces and shown to satisfy some properties that make them attractive as faster-than relations. The three testing-preorders are incomparable in general, but for some interesting classes of systems implications are shown.

Decentralized and Cooperative Multi-Sensor Multi-Target Tracking With Asynchronous Bearing Measurements

Bearings only tracking is a challenging issue with many applications in military and commercial areas. In distributed multi-sensor multi-target bearings only tracking, sensors are far from each other, but are exchanging data using telecommunication equipment. In addition to the general benefits of distributed systems, this tracking system has another important advantage: if the sensors are suff...

Bit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...

Fast Asynchronous Uniform Consensus in Real-Time Distributed Systems

We investigate whether asynchronous computational models and asynchronous algorithms can be considered for designing real-time distributed fault-tolerant systems. A priori, the lack of bounded finite delays is antagonistic with timeliness requirements. We show how to circumvent this apparent contradiction, via the principle of “late binding” of a solution to some (partially) synchronous model. ...

Design of a Novel Framework to Control Nonlinear Affine Systems Based on Fast Terminal Sliding-Mode Controller

In this paper, a novel approach for finite-time stabilization of uncertain affine systems is proposed. In the proposed approach, a fast terminal sliding mode (FTSM) controller is designed, based on the input-output feedback linearization of the nonlinear system with considering its internal dynamics. One of the main advantages of the proposed approach is that only the outputs and external state...
